In my continued pursuit of all things Essex, I seem to have stumbled upon an interesting ‘fact’. I’m lucky enough to get invited to lots of local events during the year. Some are attended by some local celebrities too. The funny thing is, lots of them have been talking about the growing number of hot tubs in Essex. I’m not sure this is true, but it certainly feels like everyone here has one or has used one recently. So what’s the big deal?
If you’re looking for some ‘me’ time, then apparently, a hot tub is the place to go. Equally, if you want to spend some time with your mates, why not hop into the hot tub together! Tub time seems to be really taking off. I’m not sure if it’s just because it’s summer. Hot tubs are kept at a really good temperature for you to use them all year round.
So what will it take to convince Mum to install one in our garden? Well, aside from the social aspect and the chance to get some quality ‘me’ time, the bubbly water is thought to have health benefits too. All that aerated water can cleanse and soften the skin, making you look fresher and more toned.
The water is warm, so it is also a good way to relax those muscles after a long day in the office. Lots of people like to sit and enjoy a refreshing drink while they’re there too. I can think of a couple of virgin cocktails I wouldn’t mind sipping as I unwind. Of course, most people would prefer a little privacy while they soak in a hot tub.
Setting up your garden for a permanent, fixed hot tub sounds like a lot of work. It’s probably quite expensive too. Lots of people have got gazebos and patio areas, but space can be tight. Only the dining set might fit out there. Well, it turns out there are inflatable hot tubs here http://www.inflatablehottubguide.com/what-is-the-best-lay-z-spa-ultimate-lazy-spa-guide/, so I thought I’d look at it. You can deflate them quickly and even take them round a friend’s house!
A portable hot tub sounds like a lot more of a bargain when you consider it that way. Looking into what they are and the benefits of it, they do sound like a good idea. So I can understand why so many people are getting them this summer. The chance to unwind in a spa-like tub really does sound appealing. I might have to wait for my own place, though!
Lots of new houses have quite tiny gardens these days. You can feel quite overlooked as well in built up neighbourhoods. But if you are lucky enough to have a quiet corner, you too might be able to enjoy a hot tub this summer. Even if you don’t have the space, a portable one can be taken almost anywhere to enjoy. I can almost imagine renting a holiday cottage this Christmas and taking one with me there! Have you got a hot tub or been treated to the experience of one lately?
Love to know your thoughts guys?
