Unlucky-in-love rescue puppies are searching for “the one” on February 14^th

As Valentine’s Day approaches, Dogs Trust Basildon is caring for a litter of pups who are all looking for their special someone. As most people are celebrating romance on the 14^th February, these playful pups are searching for a loving ‘furever’ home.

In a bid to find them love in time for the most romantic day of the year, staff at the Wickford-based rehoming centre have named them; Amour, Valentino, Romeo and Juliet.

The loveable Terrier cross pups, who will turn two months old on Valentine’s Day are described by staff as “lively, adorable and highly amusing” with tonnes of love to give. Despite being showered with affection by their carers, staff and canine chums alike have their fingers and paws crossed that the pups will be whisked off to loving new homes ahead of Valentine’s Day.

Kelly McMaster, Dogs Trust Basildon Rehoming Centre Assistant Manager, explains:

“All of us at the Rehoming Centre adore the cute pups, who were born on site at Dogs Trust Basildon. They really are special boys and girls who have provided endless fun for their carers; however we would love to find them loving families to call their own. They all have fantastic personalities and we’re hoping that Amour, Valentino, Romeo and Juliet will find their “pawfect” match this Valentine’s Day!”

The fun-loving foursome is full of energy and will need help from their new owners with socialising with other dogs and the outside world. They are looking to live with another confident four-legged friend, who can show them the ropes and help boost their confidence.

All the puppies can live with children aged eight years and over and, like all puppies, they will need their new family around most of the time to help them settle in and learn all about family life.
