Dating is Making a Comeback

*This post was written in collaboration with Hertfordshire Dating Site

As we are coming in to the end of 2021, I think we can all agree that this year has been a total write-off. We’ve had our sense of normality pulled from under our feet without notice and things like meeting up with friends or dating, things that we take for granted, have been taken away and no-one seems to know when they will start to resume. The good news is that the positive news of a vaccine which is already being rolled out and used in some places in the world, we might be able to get back to a relatively different version of “normal” by summer 2021. Once we are able to start getting back into dating, it will be interesting to see what has changed, although I have a few predictions myself.

Dating will be done online a lot more

I feel like online dating either “suits” you, or it doesn’t. I know a vast amount of people who love online dating and have met their futures husbands, and I also know people who just cannot get along with it. But now that social distancing looks set to become part of our normal lifestyles for the next few years at least, those that previously found online dating stressful have been giving it another go. The best thing to do is to find a local dating site like dating agency Hertfordshire so that you know you will match with someone local. Another part of the dating process that has been done online through the lockdowns seem to be the actual dates themselves. The added benefit of a Skype date is that you do not have to dress formally on the bottom half and you can end it when you want to.

People will take things slower

As I just mentioned, even if we are not in a lockdown or the Covid-19 situation is coming to an end, it could still be quite nice to have a date over Skype. I’m not sure about anyone reading this but I feel like I have forgotten how to socialise. Once you find a good agency like Hertfordshire dating site and you get a few chats going you will get back into the swing of things. But I do think there will be a lot of singles out there who now want to take things more slowly because they are getting used to dating again. And that is FINE. Always remember not to let someone force you into taking things too far too fast.

Single men and women will be more grateful for dates

This sounds like a bit of a weird one, but after counting so many of my blessings in other areas, I’m definitely going to start being more grateful and giving more chances in 2021 when we are allowed to start dating properly again. In the past I have been the sort of person that gets the “ick” too quickly over silly things, but the pandemic has made me realise I need to stop being so picky and take chances I never usually would take.
