If you are reading this way in the future, the whole Covid-19 pandemic is probably well in the past by now. But where we are at as I write this post in the UK is that venues have just been able to open if they have outdoor tables and hair and beauty are now finally open after weeks of all of us walking around looking terrible. The conversation with anyone at the moment seems to turn towards what you are most looking forward to when life is “back to normal”. Most people say pubs and beauty treatments, but I must say, I have missed face to face dates. I can’t wait to start dating in my local area again, and I am going to give you some good tips on how to date in Derbyshire.
Find a local dating site and make a GREAT profile
Another benefit to using a local dating site like Derbyshire Dating Site, alongside the fact you will find someone local to you, is how much content you can have on your profile. A lot of the bigger dating sites are based on looks only and you only get a couple of lines about yourself and what you are looking for. I don’t know about you, but I tend to find people more physically attractive as I get to know them. A picture only won’t do it for me. Writing a great profile doesn’t mean writing the MOST you can. Leave a bit of mystery, but one place you do want to add detail is what you are looking for. This saves time down the line if one of you is only looking for something casual and the other isn’t.
Arrange a great face to face date
Where I come from Derbyshire is like the countryside to me. If you are keen on the idea of Derbyshire Dating then you are in luck because there are plenty of places to go for nice walks etc. The National Forest is in Derbyshire which is a lovely venue. You could also visit some of the pretty cities like Buxton or Derby.
What if I don’t feel comfortable arranging a face to face date?
Do you know what one of the good things about lockdown has been? People are starting to come around to the idea that online dating is perfectly normal! A huge amount of people meet their life partners through online dating and so many marriages have come from local dating sites. So if you don’t feel comfortable meeting in person on the first date, arrange a video one. Video dating is quite popular now and there are a few things you can do to make it like you are on a real date. One of my favourite things to do is order food together from the same local restaurant, order some things you wouldn’t usually and chat through them. You could also put a film on at the same time and review it on your video chat. Or you could create a “getting to know you” quiz. The possibilities are endless.
Love to know your thoughts guys?
